Job Title: Pastry Cook – part time

Department: Kitchen

Reports To: Sous Chef/ Chef de Cuisine

General Purpose of the Job

  • Produce high quality desserts in volume at our commissary
  • Ability to organize and prep alone
  • Give creative feedback on new menu items, recipes and presentation
  • Maintain highest levels of safety, cleanliness and sanitation, following government strict guidelines
  • 2 years of pastry experience needed
  • Formal Culinary education preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Must speak English, Spanish a plus
  • Flexible hours
  • Other duties as required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Language Skills                                                             

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to read and write and follow recipes. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Food Safety Manager Certificate
